Public Paddle Events
NEWP hosts several public paddle events each year on a variety of lakes and streams selected to offer a pleasant paddling experience in safe conditions. Some may include multi-day weekend outings with associated camping and social activities. These events are open to the public and intended for paddlers of all experience levels. Participants need to bring their own boats and paddling gear; a nominal fee is charged to cover event and insurance costs.
Check out our current list of Public Paddle events.
Club Paddle Events
Each year, NEWP hosts club paddle events that are reserved for NEWP club members. These are mostly multi-day paddle trips, often with kayak-camping and sometimes with daytrips from a shoreline base camp. As these trips generally involve traveling over open water on our Great Lakes, minimum requirements for training and gear must be met. Joining NEWP is easy and allows you take part in these paddle adventures and access club boats and gear.
