NEWP will again support this great City of Two Rivers paddle event. Past year’s routes explored both the West and East Twin Rivers, through the City of Two Rivers and upstream beyond the urban areas. Veterans Park on the West Twin river will be the primary event location, with paddle routes from there into the downtown area to Paddlers Park with an option to continue up the East Twin river for a longer adventure. Bring water and snacks to eat on the water. Why do they call it Paddlers Park? We’ll find out.
This event is hosted by the City of Two Rivers. In past years, NEWP provided logistical support, as part of an extended paddle activity weekend intended to focus attention on safe water sport activity on Two Rivers’ East and West Twin Rivers and to support their local Friends of the Twin Rivers Watershed group. Although this year’s event conflicts several NEWP members with the concurrent NEWP Door County Gathering, City of Two Rivers staff has expanded and developed expertise and will again lead this event. Look for expanded information on other related activities as this event develops. For more details, see the Two Rivers Paddle Palooza page.
