Several groups of paddlers around northeast Wisconsin enjoy these social paddles on a weekly basis. Please contact us with corrections or additions to this list. Arrive early enough to unload and be ready to paddle by the listed launch times. These are not official NEWP events; but are frequented by many of our members and both experienced paddlers and certified instructors.
Red River (whitewater) – Tuesdays 5:15pm
Red River – The 2022 weekly Red River Paddles began April 12, 2022. Contact Ken Braband for more details. Meet at the Lower Lake Dam at 5:15 pm on Tuesday. There will be no caravaning from Maplewoods Shell for now. Also please check in with Ken Braband ([email protected]) if you plan on coming. Active from paddling season opener until Oct. 1 each year, weather dependent.
Lake Michigan – Wednesdays 5:30pm
After a couple years hiatus, the weekly Lake Michigan paddle is starting up again. The paddle is moving to Kewaunee this year. Contact Scott Thomson for details.
This year’s first paddle will be Wednesday, May 25. Weather permitting. UPDATE: May 25 weather will be cold, wet and windy. The first paddle will be Wednesday, June 1.

The Loon-A-Tics have a weekly Tuesday “river” paddle (rivers change each week), scheduled Memorial Day through Labor Day, and some of the members do a Tuesday and Thursday workout paddle (high intensity) to get in shape for Midwest races. Contact Dale for more information.
