Several groups of paddlers around northeast Wisconsin enjoy these social paddles on a weekly basis. Please contact us with corrections or additions to this list. Arrive early enough to unload and be ready to paddle by the listed launch times. These are not official NEWP events; but are frequented by many of our members and both experienced paddlers and certified instructors.
Red River (whitewater) – Thursdays 5:15pm
Red River – NEW FOR 2026! We’re moving to Thursdays (instead of Tuesdays) at 5:15 pm. We will start these weekly paddles sometime in April. Look for further announcements here and on the NEWP Facebook page.
Meet at the Lower Lake Dam at 5:15 pm on Thursdays (unless posted otherwise on the club Facebook page). It’s important to let Ken Braband (KenB@newp.club) know if you plan to be there. Active from paddling season opener and into October each year, weather dependent.
Ready to launch by 5:30 Thursdays
Lake Michigan – Wednesdays 5:30pm
We alternate locations (a bit).
- If the day of the month is even, we will launch from Neshotah Park (south end of the beach) in Two Rivers. Think “Two Rivers” starts with “two”, which is even.
- If the day of the month is odd, we will launch from Selner Beach in Kewaunee. Think “Kewaunee” rhymes with “three”, which is odd.
- We are also open to suggestions for other places to paddle and occasionally launch from other than the above parks.
Contact Scott Thomson for details or to be added to the weekly email reminders.

Oshkosh Area – Tuesdays
Weekly river paddles are scheduled on Tuesdays from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Check out the Facebook group “FLOW Tuesday Paddles” and ask to join this group. These begin at 5:30 and usually last two to three hours, with food and beverages to follow. Occasional workout, high intensity paddles are available to get in shape for Midwest races (kayak, canoe, SUP). Contact Dale at daleprey@gmail.com for more information. For you competitive folks there is an annual race in August each year, ending in Omro.
