NEWP’s 2024 Awards will be presented as part of the annual Film Festival on March 23, at the UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities Campus in Menasha.

Members of the Awards Committee must be current NEWP members and include at least two current members of the NEWP Board of Directors.
NEWP Awards Program
The Northeast Wisconsin Paddler’s annual Awards Program recognizes outstanding contributions to the paddling sport and NEWP’s efforts to encourage and advance paddle sports education and safety. Each award recognizes specific actions or contributions as further explained below.
The NEWP Awards Committee reviews nominations for each award and recommends awardees to the NEWP board of directors for confirmation. Award recipients are recognized as part of the annual NEWP Paddling Film Festival each year.

Wisconsin Paddlers Hall of Fame
NEWP founded the Wisconsin Paddlers Hall of Fame in 2021 to recognize individuals with past or current connections to Wisconsin that have made long-term contributions with far-reaching impact on paddle sports.
Paddle Ambassador Award
The Paddle Ambassador Award recognizes outstanding contributions to Wisconsin paddle sports and activities that expand the paddling sport through outreach and leadership.
NEWP Impact Award
The Impact Award recognizes an individual’s outstanding efforts to support NEWP’s activities and programs to fulfill its mission of encouraging and advancing paddle sports education and safety.
ACA Awards Program
NEWP, Inc. is a Paddle America Club within the American Canoe Association, or ACA. ACA has an extensive awards program that recognizes individuals each year in several award categories:
